As 2020 comes to a close, we hope you look back and find some highlights throughout your year. From connecting with many new individuals and organizations, to opening new on-site clinic locations, we at WorkSiteRight have a lot to be thankful for.
One of our main goals is to make organizations healthier, happier places for employees to work. Just like we want all your employees who see our on-site chiropractors to leave work feeling better than when they arrived that day, we want you to finish each year in a better place in terms of your healthcare goals than when you started.
In the spirit of providing you with information, knowledge, and value, we’ve put together some of our favorite pieces from the past year to help you evaluate your organizational healthcare goals.
- It has been reported that 53% of all workplace injuries can be prevented by simply adjusting the way that workers use their bodies, interact with their environment, and move every day. That can go a long way in preventing major healthcare costs, considering that many of the top workplace injuries are costing U.S. companies over $30 billion in workers’ compensation costs yearly! Read more about these surprising stats, then check out how WorkSiteRight can help your organization reduce your healthcare costs.
- Many organizations have found themselves offering remote working situations for their employees. Chad Henriksen, director of WorkSiteRight, shares some do’s, don’ts, and guidelines to set up an at-home work station (without needing to purchase new equipment) and prevent issues from becoming larger problems.
- Here’s Dr. Henriksen sharing 5 more tips with Occupational Health & Safety back in May, including using a common household item to help as a makeshift stand-up desk.
- Take control of healthcare costs! The results of a study conducted by Cerner Health Clinic in Kansas City, MO, found that the convenience of having on-site care led to more employees engaging first with their on-site chiropractor instead of medical care. This led to fewer physical therapy visits and outpatient visits, saving employees — and employers — time and money.
- The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us; from our work lives to our home lives, our routines have changed. A proactive approach to healthcare is more important now than ever. “One of the things that WorkSiteRight really tries to be able promote that we feel is important is the idea of being proactive in all of our healthcare,” said Chad Henriksen, director of WorkSiteRight. “Anything that we can do to enhance our health and well-being is going to bring direct benefits back to us. Certainly we know through our corporate accounts that a big motivation for employers across the country is to be proactive.”
- After opening an on-site clinic at Solar Plastics’ location in Delano, MN, early in 2020, the manufacturing company added on-site chiropractic care at a second location in Davenport, IA, in November. “The battle for talent is very real, and we are always looking for ways to hire the best people and keep them,” said Sam Rose, president at Solar Plastics, LLC. “A program like WorkSiteRight gives us a leg up over other companies of the same size or even larger to recruit, retain, and be an employer of choice."
We're looking forward to what 2021 has in store. Let us know how we can help you achieve your organization's healthcare goals in the year ahead.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
