With healthcare costs on the rise, it’s imperative for organizations to look to new benefits that will actually be used by employees while financially making sense to the organization. On-site healthcare can be a solution to this problem. It has been gaining popularity as of late, and for good reason. If an employee can be seen by a provider on-site within their workplace, it’s one less appointment they have to make — and pay for — outside of office hours or by burning coveted time off.
In a recent focus group we held, participants admitted that they either don’t have time or have a hard time finding the time to care for their own health. In addition, workforce shortages exacerbate this issue, with dedicated, often overworked employees having a hard time taking time off.
Our focus group participants shared that they see a real value in on-site healthcare services, seamlessly fitting in on-site care as a solution to those challenges. These days more than ever, it’s important to make sure your employees understand that you value their health. Providing a convenient, affordable option for them to be seen by a provider without them even needing to leave the office would be a good first step.
Along with being a smart solution to help employees take their healthcare into their own hands, an on-site chiropractor is a benefit that makes sense financially. Employers are able to set up a customized program to best fit their budget, and along with the care provided to employees on-site, a workplace and ergonomic assessment is conducted to point out any areas of improvement in workplace health and safety.
Maintaining a healthy workforce is critical to your organization’s success in today’s world. Keeping employees healthy decreases time they take off for illness or injury and subsequently increases productivity. The improvements to an employee’s health, well-being, and productivity as well as an employer’s bottom line go farther than that, but in an effort to benefit both sides, it’s a clear win-win.
